Regulatory role of Abscisic Acid in Plant Somatic Embryogenesis

Abscisic acid (ABA) is a vital phytohormone with comprehensive physiological function,and plays an important role in plant somatic embryogenesis and development.According to the latest research literatures,the regulatory role of ABA in plant somatic embryogenesis is reviewed on five aspects,including the effect of exogenous ABA on plant somatic embryogenesis,change of endogenous ABA content in different development stages of plant somatic embryogenesis,the regulation of ABA on gene expression,signal transduction and transgenetic expression during somatic embryogenesis.
