Abstract:
(E)-3-(4-((1H-imidazol-1-yl)methyl)Phenyl)acrylic acid was used to form self-assembled films on iron surface.The protection abilities of the films against iron corrosion were investigated using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and polarization curves techniques.Quantum chemical calculations were used to explain the experimental results to some extent.The electrochemical measurements results indicate that films of(E)-3-(4-((1H-imidazol-1-yl)methyl)Phenyl)acrylic acid can from on the iron surface sponta...
