COPPER CORROSION INHIBITION BY 3-AMINO-5-MERCAPTO-1,2,4-TRIAZOLE IN DEIONIZED WATER
|
Abstract:
Potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)and weight-loss measurement were applied to study copper corrosion behavior in the absence and presence of different concentrations of 3-amino-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole(3-AMT)under various experimental conditions. Results showed that the inhibition efficiency increases with increasing the inhibitor concentration. The degree of surface coverage of the adsorbed inhibitor is determined by ac impedance technique and it was found that the results obey the Langmuir isotherm. The thermodynamic parameters of inhibitor adsorption were calculated.
