Microcavity laser is a rapid developing field in the area of optronics and photonic-snowadays,In this paper the fundamental principles and main characteristics of the microcavitiesare discussed and several microcavities with different structures are presented.We also review variousapplications of the microcarities and mitrocavitv lasers.
