STUDY ON ACID PICKLING CORROSION INHIBITOR OF EXTRACTIVES FROM BAMBOO LEAVES
|
Abstract:
In this paper, organic inhibitive groups of bamboo leaves had been exracted by soaking means, and then the extractives were used as corrosion inhibitor for acid pickling of carbon steel. The corrosion inhibition of the extractives was primarily studied by using polarization measurements in order to evaluate the inhibition efficiency of the corrosion inhibitor. Results showed that the optimal formula of the inhibitors was determined showing excellent efficiency 96.5% of corrosion inhibition for carbon steel in 5% hydrochloric acid solution and, which may be cataloged as a mixed-type inhibitor.
