EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON CORROSION OF REBAR
|
Abstract:
Based on the corrosion test of rebar which was wrapped in concrete in salt-water environment, the effect of ratio of water to cement, the content of admixture and RI-IC2 rust inhibitor on the corrosion of rebar was investigated. It is indicated that ratio of water to cement is one of the most important factors that influence corrosion of the rebar, and the larger the ratio of water to cement is, the more severe corrosion of steel bar is. The ratio of corrosion is reduced after the fly ash and silicon fume was mixed into the concrete. RI-IC2 rust inhibitor has a remarkably effect on preventing the rebar from corrosion, and with the same content , the larger the ratio of water to cement is, the better the effect is .
