SIMULATION OF TRANSFER PROPERTIES OF LIGHT PHOTONS IN CsI∶Na SCINTILLATION LAYER

Abstract:
The transfer properties of light photons generated by X-rays in scintillation layer with free columns and with ideal columns were simulated by Monte Carlo method.Based on the computation of point spread functions of light photons in scintillation layer,the MTF curves were also figured out.The results show that the resolving power of scintillation layer can be greatly improved by the structure of columns.In addition,the simulated results of the dependences of the conversion and the transmission efficiencies on the X-ray tube potential and the thickness of CsI:Na layer suggest that there is a tradeoff between increasing thickness of CsI:Na layer and improving the transmission efficiency.
