APPLICATION OF DELPHI LANGUAGE ON SUDIES OF FLOW INDUCED CORROSION OF METALLIC MATERIALS
|
Abstract:
In this paper, by establishing a overall corrosion model for metallic materials in flowing seawater, flow induced corrosion of two metals were studied with aid of Simulation test method using Delphi language. The results showed that dynamic simulation tests could well simulate the effects of fluid flow on metal corrosion, and explicate the relationship between near-wall hydrodynamic parameters and corrosion rates. Simulated material flow induced corrosion rates obtained by this model are in agreement well with measured ones. Thus, it is showed that the established overall corrosion model is correct, and the developed simulation software of loop and the rotating disk experimental apparatus are scientific and reasonable, which can be used to study materials flow induced corrosion, especially, in high flow velocity. Simulation could well be an alternative of the corrosion test in high flow velocity condition, and upgrades the research to a new level.
