MICROSTRUCTURE OF BN/SIALON MULTIPHASE CERAMICS AND UNCERTAINTY OF Z FOR SIALON GRAINS
|
Abstract:
BN(P)/Sialon multiphase ceramics were developed by hot-pressing sintering processing to abtain a composite with excellent thermal shock resistance and high reliability without obvious anisotropy of properties. Microstructure and phase intedece features of this material which play important roles for improving high-temperature properties were investigated and the various substitution values (Z) of Al3+ for Si4+ in sialon grains with different growth morphology were found in this work.
