THE CORROSIVE WEAR PERFORMANCE OF Fe-Ni-Cr (Mo,Cu) ALLOYS
|
Abstract:
The variation of corrosive wear of Fe-Ni-Cr(Mo,Cu)alloys with load in 20%H_2SO_4 solution at corrosion, cathodic, passivation and over-passivation potential regions wasdetermined by means of a pin-disc device, and the wear track was observed. The results showthat the removal of alloys is higher than that of 18-8 stainless steel in same corrrosive wear con-dition and attributes to the mechanical factor mainly.By comparing the specific energy con-sumption in grooving and the variation of hardness of alloys before and after wear testing withthose of 18-8 stainless steel,it is deduced that the wear resistance related to the strain hardeningis decreased due to the high content of Ni in Fe-Ni-Cr(Mo,Cu)alloys.
