Abstract:

Mechanical alloying (MA) of elemental powder mixtrues of 38.4Cu/25.6Ti/18Fe/18Nb and amorphous Cu60Ti40 - Fe50Nb50 powder mixtures of (Cu60Ti40)64(Fe50Nb50)36 are pedermed using a high energy ball mill. In the MA processing, the systems for the elemental powder mixtures, which possessing a lager negative heat of mixing, markedly promote the amorphization of Cu-Ti-Fe-Nb systems.
