EFFECT OF EXPLOSIVE TREATMENT ON HYDROGEN EMBRITTLEMENT SUSCEPTIBILITY FOR 20CrMo STEEL
|
Abstract:
A study was carried out to determine the effect of explosive treatment onhydrogen embrittlement susceptibility for 20CrMo steel with different microstructure andstrength level. The experimental results showed:explosive treatment followed by high tempera-ture aging can reduce the hydrogen embrittlement susceptibility of homogeneous pearlitemicrostructure with 620MPa or 830MPa yield strength respectively.Explosive treatment in-crease the coefficient of hydrogen embrittlement susceptibility of steel with 680 MPa yieldstrength and ferrite-pearlite microstructure, approximately it greatly reduced the coefficient ofhydrogen embrittlement susceptibility to irreversible hydrogen.
