ATMOSPHERIC CORROSION OF ZINC IN LIAONING RURAL AREA

A two-year survey of atmospheric corrosion of zinc in Liaoning rural area hasbeen made.The results of the field exposure have been analyzed in combination with localenvironmental data.A corrosivity map of rural area of Liaoning has been deawn.A formula isproposed to describe the corelation of corrosion rate with the environmental parameters,among them the time of wetness seems to be the most important for determining the corrosionrate of zinc.
