In recent years,much attention has been paid extensively to intermetallics Fe_3Albecause of its high strength,excellent oxidation and sulfidation resistance,lower density and lowmaterial cost.Many research works have been finished and many valubale results have beenachieved.In this review,we summarize a large amount of literatures published and our workconcerning Fe_3Al.This report will concentrate on phase structure and crystal defects,physicaland chemical properties,brittleness nature,microstructure and mechanical properties.
