EFFECT OF INTERLAMINAR ADHESION ON FATIGUE BEHAVIOR OF GLASS ALUMINUM LAMINATES
|
Abstract:
In this study two kinds of aluminum surface treatment techniques(phosphoricacid anodizing and alkaline cleaning)and water-boiled maturing method have been used in thepreparation of glass aluminum laminates,GLALL,to obtain different interface strength. The re-sults of interlaminar shear tests and fatigue propagation tests show that the interface plays animportant role in fatigue behavior of GLALL.With the increase of interface strength, fatiguecrack growth rate of GLALL decreases, the width of delamination failure area reduces, and thedelamination failure site is between resin and reinforced fiber.
