ENERGY TRANSFER AND FORMATION OF AMORPHOUS Ni_(50)Ti_(50)ALLOY IN MECHANICAL ALLOYING
|
Abstract:
Effects of rotational speed and number of balls on the amorphization process ofNi_(50)Ti_(50)mixed elemental powders in attritor ball milling have been studied.A model for calcu-lating the energy transfer in M A have been introduced, the relationships of phase transforma-tion patterns in MA with technological parameters have been discussed.Excessive plasticdeformation energy of powders in per collision event may result in the formation of intermetalliccompound, and if the total deformation energy of powders gained after long time ball millingexceeds some critical values,it also results in crystallization of amorphous alloy.
