Extension of solid solubility of RE(RE=Sm,Gd,Tb,Dy,Er)in Ag andAg_3RE metastable phases with hexagonal lattice was observed in rapidly-solidified silver-richAg-RE alloys.Followed by aging process,the metastable super-saturated solid solutionturned into equilibrium one,while the Ag_3RE metastable phase into the equilibrium phase ofAg_(51)RE_(14).
