NON-STEADY STATE DIFFUSION FIELD AND PATTERN EVOLUTION IN INITIAL TRANSITION PROCESSING OF REGULAR EUTECTIC GROWTH

Abstract:
Considering initial transition processing is important in studying pattern selec-tion because the non-linear dynamic conduct is dependent upon early stage and path in crystalgrowth processing.The initial transition processing has been analysed in detail and non-steadystate diffusion field has been reduced by solving the time-dependent diffusion equation.It isfound that growth velocity plays the most principal role in solute redistribution of the initialtransition processing,and interlamellar spacing,diffusion coefficient and other physicalparameters make less important.Experiments by using transparent organic model alloyCBr_4-11.1wt-%C_2Cl_6 have been carried out for testifying and indicating the true of the theory.
