EFFECTS OF RESIDUAL STRESS AND ADHESIVE ON FATIGUE CRACK GROWTH OF ARALL
|
Abstract:
he influences of the residual stress. adhesive properties and adhesive content on the fatigue crack growth of the super-hybrid composite ARALL have been investigated, and the delamination with the crack propegation has ben analysed in this paper. The results show that influences on the fatigue crack growth rate by adhesive are depended on the shear deformation of the pert of resin-rich inside ARALL and the delamination with the crack growth, the more the energy dissipated by the two part is, the lower the crack growth rate is. The effect by the content of adhesive is not evident. Applying pre-stress to laminate decreases the crack growth rate, and the essence is that the effective stress in crack tip is reduced under the same fatigue load.
