MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF EPOXY COPOLYMER MATRIX WITHOUT SHRANKAGE

The stress-strain curves and dynamic mechanical properties ofpure epoxy resin and epoxy copolymer with shrinkage or equal-density or exp-ansion obtained by copolymerizing epoxy resin with various amounts of expan-ding monomer NSOC have been measured.The brittle strength and glass tra-nsition temperature of epoxy copolymer decrease with introducting of NSOC,indicating that the effect of structure of molecular chain on properties of resinbeing more than that of volume expansion during polymerization(cure).
