Abstract:

TiFe alloy is one of the most promising hydronen storage materials,but itsdifficulty to activation.In this report a micro-electric-arc welding method was developedand the activtion of TiFe alloy with surfacely welded on LaNi_5 fine particles was investi-gated.It was found that with welded on fine particles the activation property of TiFe alloywas improved greatly while the P-C-T charcteristic had little change.The authors be-lieved that the LaNi_5 fine particles welded on the TiFe surface played the roll of hydrogenabsorbing windows and promoted the activation of the TiFe alloy.
