CORROSION RPODUCT ON MILD STEEL COATED WITH ZINC PHOSPHATE/ALKYD PRIMER
磷酸锌醇酸涂层下的碳钢锈层

The composition of the corrosion product,black rust,on mild steel coatedwith zinc phosphate/alkyd primer has been determined by XPS technique.The resultsshow that the black rust consists of FeO,Fe,Fe~(3+)and Zn(OH)_2.It is believed that the initi-ation of the rust is postponed by the resulting high resistance against transfer of the corro-sion media through the coating.The rust-spread rate decreases because of the inhibition ef-fect of zinc ion in the differential aeration cell beneath the coating.
