CAST ALUMINIUM MATRIX COMPOSITE REINFORCED WITH SiC PARTICLES

After treated with vacuum-baking and tank-sealing,SiC particles were putinto the melt when its solid fration was about 0.4 to 0.5.Through stirring and otherprocessing,cast composite material was manufactured,and property tests about this materialwere made.The results indicate that this material with a good casting ability,high mechanicalproperties,is suitable for die-casting,plaster precision casting,and metal mold casting tomanufacture some severely worked products such as piston,link,and so on.
