Binghaw flows of retarded adhesive mortar in a single-screw extruder

Abstract:
The paper explores the flow for retarded adhesive mortar with Bingham liquid in a single-screw ectruder on the basis of test. By using the theories of rheology, the model of retarded adhesive mortar screw conveying is built. Discussed the principle for retarded adhesive mortar by screw conveying, the condition of successive conveying retarded adhesive mortar is obtained, i.e. the screw revolutions must exceed the critical revolutions. The test results suggest that it can be relized successive conveying and coating for retarded adhesive mortar with Bingham liquid in the mechanism of retarded adhesive mortar screw conveying and coating, when the screw revolutions are within 78$\sim $240\,r/min. The findings of these investigations resolve the reliability problem of retarded adhesive mortar screw conveying and lay the foundation for developing the coating device of retarted adhesive prestressed strand.
