Discussion on quality testing of frame structure embedded partially in soil
|
Abstract:
There are no ready-made methods to calculate the transient response of pile foundations under a large number of structures in actual engineering, such as a frame structure embedded partially in soil under impact. The transient response of the frame structure embedded partially in soil may provide a theoretical basis for designing the marine platform, oil-line trestle and open type wharf under impact. The method of reverberation-ray matrix for frame structures embedded partially in soil is presented in this paper. The velocity wave of the perfect and defective frame structure embedded partially in soil is studied with square impulses in axial, horizontal or oblique directions. It is found that the defects of pile foundations of the frame structure embedded partially in soil can be identified via axial velocity under axial or oblique impulse.
