Application of the lattice bhatnagar- gross- krook model to the simulation of seismic pressure wave

Abstract:
In this paper, we propose a new lattice Boltzmann model for simulating the seismic pressure wave. By using Chapman-Enskog expansion and multi-scales technique, we obtained a series lattice Boltzmann equations and conservation law in the time scale t0. We select simple equilibrium distribution functions to get moments for the pressure wave equations. Numerical simulations show this method can be used to compute seismic pressure wave.
