Creep postbuckling of the viscoelastic plates with matrix transverse cracks
|
Abstract:
Based on the Schapery three-dimension viscoelastic constitutive relationship with growing damageand Shenwei and Kachanov damage evolution equation,a damage model of matrix transverse cracks for theviscoelastic composite rectangular plates with fibre reinforced in unidirection is established.By using vonKarman theory on the thin plate, the nonlinear equilibrium equations including the damage effect and theinitial deflection for the viscoelastic composite rectangular plate under compression load in plane are founded.Through applying finite difference method in spatial domain, increment method and Newton-Cotes numericalintegration method in time domain, the governing equations are iteratively solved. The effects of the damage andthe relative parameters on the postbuckling behaviors of the plates are discussed and the results are comparedwith the available data.Numerical results show that the larger the external load or initial deflection, the largerthe stable postbuckling deflection of the plates and the more obvious the effect of the damage. With the increaseof the aspect ratio, the stable postbuckting deflection of the plates reduce and the effect of the damage grows.
