A NOVEL FIBEROPTIC STRESS SENSOR

Abstract:
Based on the effect of mismatch of mode volume and principle of microbending. A novel intensity fiberoptic stress sensor is presented.The responses of the optical fiber stress sensors are linear,repeatable, have a high cyclic endurance and no measurable hysteresis.
