Sine-Squared Potential and Chaotic Behaviour of Strained Superlattice

Abstract:
s:It is assumed that a periodic modulation is equivalent to deflecded channel of the superlattice.The particle motion equation is reduced to the nonlinear differential equation with a damping term and a periodic modulation using sine-squared potential.The global bifurcation and chaotic behaviours are analysed using Melnikov technique,indicating that the random phenomenon of the channelling effect of the superlattice are related to chaotic behaviours of the system.
