In this paper, we deal with computer algebra method for computer aided design of control system ,and briefly introduce the design method and structure of the computer algebra software tool--SymbolCAD for control system. Based on object-oriented scheme and graphical windows environment, SymbotCAD can do symbolic and numerical calculations, and algorithm programming. It can also be expanded easily.
