Matching Deformed Planar Contours

In the paper a linear elastic model is proposed which is used in solving the planar contour registration problems between deformed objects. The matching method overcomes some deficiencies in traditional elastic matching approaches and shows high robustness. Here the registration is carried out in a dynamic iterative process from coarse to fine. This process converges with high speed under the external forces which are calculated at every node of the elastic string.
