The Identification of the Two-Phase Region in An Electro-Slag Remelting Process

In this paper, a new method to determine the Interface of molten metal and ingot in an electro-slag remelting process (ESR) is presented. This method is based on the principle of pulse variation given by References 1, 2]. And the identification problem is transferred into an optimal control problem. Examples are given to show the efficiency and feasibility of this method.
