“城-郊-乡”森林生态样带植被变化梯度分析

Quercus forest vegetation from 19 samples of nine sites along an urban suburban rural transect (140km) in New York were analyzed. The composition and structure of vegetation varied greatly from urban to rural. Three types of forests,urban forest,suburban forest and rural forest can be identified. Species ecotypes were obvious along the transect. Vegetation was closely related to human activities along the transect and urbanization was a key factor affecting forest. Forest ecological transect is an advanced way to study the relationship between vegetation and human activities.
