The Studies on the formation and timing of evocation cell group of floral primordia and its histochemistry in Cucumber
|
Abstract:
The present paper investigated the formation and its timing of evocation cell group of floral primordia by morphogenesis of floral differentiation, tisssue section, and its histochemistry in cucumber. The results showed that the evocation cell group of floral primordia occurred in subepiderm at the first axils of the seedlings of 6 day age. The content of DNA, RNA and Protein, and the ratio of RNA/DNA are higher in the cell of evocation cell group than in the cells of non evocation. Moreover a large amount of calcium ion occurred in the evocation cells(cell wall and intercellular spaces).
