Status Qno and Trends in Discourse Studies
论话语研究的现状与趋势

Discourse analysis emerged in America in the middle of the 20~(th)century.It was introduced to China in 1970s.Up to now,discourse studies have been extended to many academic fields such as discourse linguistics,philosophy,politics,sociology,literature,communication, culture,history,natural science,etc.The object and scope of contemporary discourse studies are developing continually.On the micro-side,it has extended from discourse itself to psychological mechanism of discourse generation and man-machine conversation.On the macro-side,it has extended from discourse itself to discourse community,discourse participator,discourse ability, discourse right,discourse culture,discourse order and etc.In the near future,discourse studies in China will take on an inter-disciplinary trend.Discourse studies in different disciplines from multiple angles of view would be conformed and inosculated.A new integrative and inter- discipline named"discourseology"will come into being.A new major and department of discourse studies will finally be established.
