Regional Effect and Rationality Analysis of China''''s Arable Land Change in Recent Ten Years
|
Abstract:
The decrease of China's arable land is an objective demand of the fast development of industrialization and urbanization, which is mainly due to the ecological restoration. It has immense influence on the regional development,a significant relationship with nature, economy and social environment, all of which have their certain rationality.Considering the balance of arable land occupation and restoration,China's eastern coastland is planned for the economic development oriented area, where arable land decrease will have a strong influence on the farmers' income, thus becoming a focus of attention for the Government.Middle China is planned for the transitional area, where arable land protection has no influence on attracting commerce and investment and little conflict with the economic development, and the ecological restoration is favorable to intensive agricultural management.Western China is planned for the environmental protection oriented area, where ecological restoration is favorable to the balance between water and earth resources and the promotion of reasonable transfer of surplus rural labour force, and the arable land protection requires intensifying infrastructure construction.
