Effects of noise stress on expression of Fos protein in rat brain
|
Abstract:
In the model of rats with noise stress, the expression of Fos protein in brain was examined by immunohistochemical method during the chronic stress process. The results showed that the peak expression of Fos in paraventricular nucleus(PVN),supraoptic nucleus(SON) and locus coeruleus(LC) of hypothalamus appeared at the fifth day of the noise stress, while the peak expression in hippocampus(HC) and corpus amygdaloideum(CA) of limbic forebrain appeared at the tenth day.Since then the expression level was reduced gradually. In addition, the level of the Fos expression in 100 dB was higher than that in 80 dB.It was indicated that the Fos expression in noise stress was not only associated with the type and intensity of stress, but also with the multiple mechanisms in brain.
