The Narrating Intention Lies in "Short Stories with Nameless Characters"——Comparison between Public Exposure by Lu Xun and Tourist Season Begins by Langgaesser
|
Abstract:
Public Exposure by Lu Xun and Tourist Season Begins by Langgaesser are short stories with identical artistic techniques of expression: Both omitted the names of the Characters, focusing on the symbolic behaviour of the characters and making the symbolic atmosphere,so as to convey the thought-provoking criticism on national characteristics. The profound cultural connotation embodied in the stories with nameless characters deserves study.
