Buddhist Stories in the Early Tang Dynasty and the Rise of the Literary Tales'''' Style
|
Abstract:
The Buddhist stories in the early Tang Dynasty, following “the Buddhist Notes” in the Six Dynasties, had a quick development. They showed general life of values by abstracting religious faith, and general emotional life by changing religious world to human world. So they hold a “fiction flavour”. They also offered some new meanings in story prototypes, narrative models and spreading tactics for ancient pre-fictions.These factors directly helped to bring about the rise of Literary Tales' style in Tang Dynasty.
