An Analysis of the Relationship between Cognitive Resources and Career Anchor in Work Settings

Abstract:
The present research is focused on the relationship between cognitive resources and career anchors in work settings. The objective of the research is to investigate the effect of career anchor on relationship between intelligent resources and job performance. More than 300 employees from 20 enterprises participated in the study. We have divided job stress of manager into four parts task stress, competition stress, interpersonal stress, environment stress. At the same time, we have drawn the following conclusions for employees who show different kinds of career anchors, feeling of interpersonal stress has significant differences; under different levels of interpersonal stress, the correlation between intelligence and performance are negative for employees who show management anchor but positive for security anchor.
