A Comparative Study on the 1898 Reform of China and the Meiji Restoration
中国和日本近代化改革的比较考察──以戊戌变法和明治维新为中心

The authors studied and compared the 1898 Reform of China and the Meiji Restoration in an attempt to determine andchow the different characteristics and influences, mainly from three aspects: goal and historical background of the reforms, introductionand features of the Western democratic thought into China and Japan, and establishment and guiding ideology of the modem education-al system.
