A Study of Agronomic Words in ShuoWenJieZi
《说文解字》“禾、黍、来、麦”部的农业剖析

Words describing millet, proso-millet, wheat, etc. formed a large corpse of cereal related vocabulary in classical Chi-nese. The study of these words in the most important classical dictionary ShuoWenJieZi does not, however, hold water. It is either due to the archeological lack of oracle evidences or inadequate agronomic knowledge on the part of the dictionary editors.
