On the Mutual Permeability Between and Merging of Religion and Ethics in the Contemporary Society

It is of extreme importance to supply a correct interpretation of the relationship between religion and ethics in the current social context of China and the globalization. By taking faith as an intermediary to explain the relationship between religious faith and morality, the present author analyzes the essence of mutual permeability between and merging of these two issues. It is predicted that the next step for the \!global ethic" is to enable those basic moral standards to become the common faith of the people around the world.
