Present-day Situations of Modern Zhejiang Literature
|
Abstract:
In its intimate relations with Wu-Yue Culture, Zhejiang literature has obtained enormous achievements and a unique aesthetic taste that is expressed in its representation of the local life, its use of a musical dialect and a typical Southeastern China literary style. At the same time, Zhejiang literature is much criticized for its lack of creativity and its interpretation of its cultural traditions. It is also challenged by the literary influences from the Shanghai school of writers.
