The Buddhist Scriptures translated during Wei, Jin and the Southern and Northern Dynasties maintain many of the newwords and new meanings of that time, which have immense significance to the study of the history of Chinese vocabulary and the com-pilation of lexicographical works. This article explained some words in the Buddhist Scriptures to indicate their the special meanings.
