Zhejiang Population Development Prospect and Strategic Options

According to the data of " the fourth population census" in 1990 and the 1% population sample survey data in 1995, future Zhejiang population developing trend was projected, based on the analysis of the current population deveploment situation . The crosscentury Zhejiang population development strategies were also investigated. With the prerequistes of maintaining a reasonably low human fertility and continued control of the total population. prudent fertility policy adjustment was suggested to avoid the overly aging of population. Accordign to the current Zhejaing population sitution and the "develop the province through science adn technology " strategy, it is also suggested that the population development strategic focus should be shifted to raising the population quality in good time.
