Biological effect of sodium humate on the Cd-stressed wheat seedlings
|
Abstract:
Under the Cd stress conditions, the wheat seedling devel opment and the effects on assimilation and accumulation of contamination element Cd and nutriti on elements Cu, Zn, Fe and Mn in pot experiment under different sodium hu mate tr eatments such as seed soaking, irrigating and mixed manuring were studied. T he r esults indicate that different treatments of sodium humate can mitigate t he harmful effect of heavy metal Cd and improve the accumulation of d ry matt ers in whea t seedlings. In light polluted soil, it can remarkably inhibit the ass imilation o f Cd and increase the assimilation and accumulation of Cu, Zn, Fe and Mn . With the aggravation of Cd pollution, sodium humate's ability of inhibitin g the assimilation of Cd weekens, and may have different effects on the assimilation of nutr ition e lements Cu, Zn, Fe and Mn. So the better effects of averseness resistance a re shown.
