A PRELIMINARY STUDY OF CLIMATIC CHANGE AND SUSTAINED AGRICULTURE
|
Abstract:
The relationship between climatic change and sustained agriculture is discussed from the standpoint of the connotation of sustained agriculture. The impact of climatic change on sustained agriculture in China is analysed according to the crop productivity and yield, cropping system, regional agricultural production and production cost. It is pointed out that climatic change induced by green house effects may cause the intensification of the agricultural instability, the shortage of natural resources and the increase of agricultural cost. Therefore this will have certain unfavorable impact on sustained agriculture and can not be treated in a blind optimatic altitude.
