Arenaria dawuensis, a new species of the Caryophyllaceae from Sichuan, China

Abstract:
Arenaria dawuensis A. J. Li & Q. Ban, a new species of the Caryophyllaceae from Dawu County, Sichuan, China, is described and illustrated. It is related to A. fimbriata (E. Pritz.) Mattf. in having fusiform roots, cymose inflorescence, two linear styles, but differs by having spatulate leaves, sepals sparsely and long ciliate along margins, and petals shorter than sepals and finely fimbriate at apex.
