A STUDY ON THE TAXONOMY OF MEDICINAL PLANTS OF GENUS FRAXINUS IN CHINA

This work is a preliminary study on the Chinese specres of genus Fraxinus. There are about 30 species of this genus have been recorded in China, a recent invenstigation has found that the medicinal plants of genus Fraxinus are produced from 9 species and 3 variety.Acording to morphological and geographical characteristics, we have made 1 new variety, 2 new grade and 3 new synonyms. They are. Faxinus rhynchophylla var. huashanensis; F. fallax var. stylosa; F. caudata; F. rhynchophylla(F. hopeiensis); F. paxiana(F. paxiana depauperata); F. chinensis (F. chinensis var. rotundata).
